Fly Jentayu Fly
In conjunction with International Woman's Day 2009, a contemporary dance performance by Ombak-Ombak was held in the new wing of Gurney Plaza. "Jentayu" in Indonesian means a kind of bird which only exists in the myth, same like the Phoenix. The dance was about the expressions and feelings of women, seeking for their rights, equality, respect and honour over male chauvinism or sexism.
